Dark Hall Mansion's 2017 A Charlie Brown Christmas limited edition print

The good folks at Dark Hall Mansion know how to brighten up the season: they've announced another release in their long line of fine art prints celebrating the classic TV special A Charlie Brown Christmas.

The prints feature a sweeping take on the special by artist Jeremy Pailler, who also created a matching It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown prints for DHM a couple of months ago (which is still available from the Dark Hall Mansion webstore, along with some other recent Peanuts prints).

The prints are available in two versions - a standard and a "Christmas Moonlight" variant - and you can get both together in a smaller-sized pair as well.  See below for details and prices.

These limited edition prints go on sale Friday, December 1st, at 12:30 PM (Pacific time) at Dark Hall Mansion's webstore.

"Peanuts: Through the Years" limited edition print from Dark Hall Mansion

Our friends at Dark Hall Mansion have been doing releases of limited edition A Charlie Brown Christmas prints for long enough that it's starting to feel like it isn't the holiday season without their annual announcement. Fortunately, we won't have to do without this year - not by a long shot, since this December you can choose from five different (but equally wonderful) prints celebrating the 1966 Peanuts special by artists Steve Thomas and Eric Robison. Limited edition Snoopy Come Home prints from Dark Hall Mansion

Our best of buddies Dark Hall Mansion are getting it together to show they have fundamental-print-dependability with their first Peanuts print of 2016, an outstanding rendering for Snoopy Come Home, the gang's second theatrical outing in 1972.

Returning artist Tom Whalen has created an image full of scenes from the movie using an appealing symmetrical composition, as he did in his A Boy Named Charlie Brown print from last year, to cover Snoopy's journey from home, to Lila's hospital, back home again.

Dark Hall Mansion's A Charlie Brown Christmas limited edition prints for 2015

Our friends at Dark Hall Mansion haven't forgotten that it's the 50th anniversary of A Charlie Brown Christmas - they're marking the event by bringing us their yearly gift of a limited edition print based on the first Peanuts television special.

The exuberant art by Tom Doyle & Ridge Rooms (who also created one of this year's It's the Great Pumpkin prints) melds elements of the show's opening scene with the gang skating together, the closing scene of Charlie Brown's suprisingly festive tree, and a few iconic images from in between to create a new piece celebrating the show's long history.

The new Christmas print will be available in a standard edition, a variant edition with silver metallic ink highlights, and a small glow-in-the-dark edition.

Dark Hall Mansion's It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown limited edition prints for 2015

While Linus may wait in vain for the Great Pumpkin each year, fans of Dark Hall Mansion's Peanuts art prints have much better luck - for the fifth year in a row, they're back with two new limited edition designs based on the TV special It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown, just in time for Halloween 2015.

Note that these prints go on sale Thursday, October 22, 2015 at 9:30 AM Pacific time - less than 24 hours after this is posted - so if you're interested, be ready to head over to Dark Hall Mansion's webstore as soon as possible after that time.

First, there's a moody piece by Tom Doyle & Ridge Rooms, showing the aftermath of the evening. This print will be available in a standard edition, a variant edition with silver metallic ink highlights, and a small glow-in-the-dark edition.  As a bonus, all editions will be signed by artist Tom Doyle.

The second print, by Australian artist Florey, focuses on the Halloween party scene from the show. This print will be available in a standard edition and a variant edition with a somewhat different color scheme.

Limited edition A Boy Named Charlie Brown prints from Dark Hall Mansion

As you'll know if you've a regular reader of this blog, Dark Hall Mansion has produced many high-quality "movie poster"-style prints for the well-loved classic Peanuts television specials. Now they've turned their talents to creating a fantastic limited edition print for A Boy Named Charlie Brown, the very first Peanuts theatrical film itself.

Tom Whalen, artist for several of Dark Hall Mansion's previous Peanuts prints, has drawn a wonderfully complex and detailed work, chock full of many of the 1969 movie's memorable moments, deploying a clever use of symmetry to balance all the elements together. There's even a shout-out to Vince Guaraldi, whose music you'll probably be humming while you admire the artwork.

Dark Hall Mansion is celebrating Valentine's Day 2015 with a set of eye-catching prints featuring the Peanuts gang, going on sale this Friday, January 30.

The very colorful prints by new-to-the-line artist Nicole Gustafsson, titled "Snoopy Valentine," are inspired by the TV special Be My Valentine, Charlie Brown and one of Charles Schulz's enduring themes of the comic strip - the joys and difficulties of love.

The print is available in four editions: a standard edition; a variant edition with a different color scheme; and very limited canvas editions of each.

Dark Hall Mansion's yearly tradition of prints celebrating A Charlie Brown Christmas continues this year with a new officially licensed limited edition print by artist Nicolas Delort.

The Christmas print is in the same style as his Great Pumpkin print from last month:  an expansive scene centered around the character at the heart of the television special, Charlie Brown, holding his famous little tree as he takes in the wonder of the season, created with fine etching-like strokes.

The print is available in three editions: a standard edition in evocative black-and-white; a blue-tinted variant edition; and a very limited foil edition.

Limited edition It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown prints for 2014 from Dark Hall Mansion

The good folks at Dark Hall Mansion are bringing Peanuts fans a treat with some tricks for this year's officially licensed prints inspired by the classic television special It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown.

Nicolas Decort's print is a dramatic take with an epic sweep on Linus' Halloween night vigil, full of detail and woodcut-like linework.  The thumbnails really don't do it justice; be sure to click them to see larger versions with the full impact.  (Look very carefully around the print and you'll see that Linus isn't the only Peanuts character in it.)

The print is available in three editions, with some cool options: a standard edition in stunning black-and-white; a sepia-toned variant edition with a glow-in-the-dark layer that reveals jack-o-lanterns grinning in the moonlight when you turn out the lights; and finally a very limited foil edition where select cutouts and brushstrokes let the foil underneath shine through.

Limited edition It's the Easter Beagle, Charlie Brown prints for 2014 from Dark Hall Mansion

Spring is here, and so are two new eye-catching limited edition It's the Easter Beagle, Charlie Brown prints from Dark Hall Mansion, going on sale Tuesday, April 8.

Artist Jayson Weidel captures the 1974 television special in two very different styles. The standard edition print sports cheerful colors and an nifty Easter egg motif encircling scenes from the show in great detail, including Woodstock's groovy birdhouse pad (one of my personal favorites). The variant print has a simpler but no less attractive design of the Easter Beagle himself bursting forth from a basket full of eggs, to the delight of two adoring fans.
